Stade Francais – Edinburgh
(Most recent H2H result: 33-34)
- Champions of the last edition of Challenge Cup, Stade Francais is in a difficult situation in order to qualify for the next round. To qualify for the next round they have to beat Edinburgh but also they need a victory of Brive against Worcester in group 5. Not an easy task , but doable on the paper if we consider than Brive is more solid than Worcester.
- Already qualified last week, thanks to the lucky victory in the last seconds against today’s hosts, Edinburgh will make 8 changes in the starting team. Head coach Richard Cockerill declared that the team will consider this match as a physical and mental game but personally i think that they will try to preserve themselfs for the intern competition, Guinness Pro14, where they need to fight for the playoffs.
- The hosts make three changes with wing Djibril Camara, fly-half Shane Geraghty and prop Zurabi Zhvania all starting.Romain Martial, Jules Plisson and Heinke van der Merwe drop out, with the latter on the bench and Jules Arias switching from left to right wing.
