Golden State Warriors – Phoenix Suns
- Last home game before the break. Warrios will start celebrate All Star with their fans tonight. The Golden State Warriors will target their third straight win when they host the Phoenix Suns in a divisional battle Monday night from the Oracle Arena. Warriors defeated the Suns in all four games last season. The Golden State Warriors had no problem against the Spurs defense in their 122-105 home win on Saturday night for the second straight win. Draymond Green (sprained left index finger) is doubtful for Monday’s game, but West, Iguadola and Casspi looking good this season. Golden State is the best offensive team in the NBA, averaging an NBA-leading 115.9 points per game. Splash brothers will get this tonight for them and fans.
- The Phoenix Suns’ defensive woes continued in their 123-113 home loss to the Nuggets on Saturday night. The Suns continue to struggle on defense and they have also been inconsistent offensively. They have dropped five consecutive games. Suns own a 9-18 road record and are scoring an average of 104.4 points per game, ranking them 19th in the NBA. Phoenix are conceding an average of 112.6 points, placing them 30th overall. Devin Booker (hip) was a limited participant in Sunday’s light practice. With Booker and Ulis hurting, Payton and Gray are only PG for this game.
- Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns best opportunity for Curry and co. to celebrate with fans before All Star games. The Suns continue to play awful defense, allowing an average of 115.2 points in their last ten games. They are up against a Warriors team that ranks first in the NBA in most offensive categories, and they should be able to pour on the points. Houston looks better this year and GSW need to show who is the best in NBA.
