San Antonio Spurs – Golden State Warriors – NBA action is back in San Antonio. Dubs have so many problems with injuries.
- The Spurs managed to win their third consecutive contest on Saturday night behind a big game from LaMarcus Aldridge. Aldridge scored 39 points and hauled in 10 rebounds on the night to help the Spurs overcome a sluggish start. Rudy Gay came off of the bench to finish with 14 points, while Pau Gasol, Patty Mills, and Danny Green chipped in 12 points apiece to help pace the Spurs on offense. San Antonio comes into Monday’s game with the third-best defensive efficiency rating in the NBA. The Spurs have limited their opponents to just 102.1 points per 100 possessions for the season. San Antonio makes some improvements in their offence in February averaging 109.9 points per game. In March they average 103.9 points per game. Kawhi Leonard is the only player out for Spurs tonight.
- The Warriors got back on the winning track on Saturday night, defeating the Phoenix Suns by the score of 124-109 despite playing without Stephen Curry (ankle), Klay Thompson (thumb), and Kevin Durant (ribs). Instead, it was Draymond Green who led the Warriors to a much-needed win, narrowly missing a triple-double in the process. Green finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists on the night, while assuming his role as the team’s vocal leader. Quinn Cook set a career-high in points for the second straight game, finishing with 28 points in the win, while Kevin Looney chipped in 6 blocks off of the bench – the most of any NBA reserve this season.
- Quinn Cook (right hand contusion), Andre Iguodala (shoulder), Kevon Looney (jaw contusion) and Zaza Pachulia (shoulder) are all available on Monday vs. the Spurs. But they are still without Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Casspi and I don’t see many chances for them in San Antonio. Greg Popovich will make his team ready for this one and he’ll speculate the Dubs situation. My prediction for San Antonio Spurs – Golden State Warriors is below.
Prediction: San Antonio Spurs -2.5, 1.50 odds.
Second prediction: San Antonio Spurs over 103.5 points, 1.70 odds.
