Next weekend, Bolivians will have their hands full with carnivals, so gameweek 3 will be played these days and will start with San Jose – Royal Pari, tonight, 00:00 GMT.
San Jose – Had a great season, finishing 4th in the league, but ended the year with two straight defeats. And the start to the new season isn’t that convincing – 1-2, at home, against Nacional Potosi, and a 1-1, on the road, with The Strongest. Sure, the draw against the “tigers” seems cool and all, but The Strongest are also struggling recently. Add the 1-1 draw with Bolivar in a friendly and we’ll see that San Jose has 5 consecutive matches without a win. Sanguinetti recovered after an injury and may start against Royal Pari. Franco will probably return as goalie after a two-match suspension. San Jose has scored in the last 12 home games.
Royal Pari – Founded in 2002, the club made its debut in the first league this season. In fact, it wasn’t until 2016 Royal Pari even played in Nacional B, so this performance seems even more impressive. For things to get even better, Rayal Pari got 4 points from the first two matches, 2-2 at Blooming and a 3-0 victory, at home, against Aurora. David de la Torre’s men now lead group B of the championship. Siles will return to the team after a one-game suspension.
The fact that Royal Pari managed to overcome a two goals deficit to win a point against Blooming shows us that the newly promoted club means business and is capable of playing top level football. On the other hand, San Jose is a solid team, especially on home soil, so the two consecutive defeats on “Jesus Bermudez” stadium don’t seem right. However, I won’t be surprised to see another good performance from the visitors, so my money will certainly go on this market.
Prediction: goals in both halves, odds 1.51
