Young Boys – Grasshoppers is the first game for the Champions in this season and they should take off in a high note after a brilliant season but Grasshoppers will do everything to stop a good start for them. The game will start at 16:00 and it will take place on Stade de Suisse in Bern, Switzerland.
Young Boys are the new Champions is the Swiss Super League ending the dominancy of Basel over the years. Basel won the title in every year since 2009 and now the hosts from this game ended that excellent streak. They are looking forward to a great start in this season as well and they should do it in the front of their fans. Their pre-season friendlies were decent but they lost with 4-0 against Wolves in their last game and that should be a concern for them. All things considered Grasshoppers are a much weaker side and haven’t got big expectations from a League game against the Champions.
Grasshoppers had a disastrous preparation stage where they couldn’t manage to win at least one game. They are now on a really bad run of 9 games without a win and it will big a surprise if they’ll end that run in this game. Last time that they won was in April against Lausanne and since then they lost 5 and drew 4 games which is a really bad achievement. Last term they finished on the 9th position and barely saved themselves from relegation. This year they should improve as now they have seemed to find the weak spots but still couldn’t make anything of it. With this kind of results they should change something in the club and find another way to improve their results.

Young Boys – Grasshoppers: Prediction
Everything points to a home win in this one and it should be that way. Grasshoppers didn’t show any improvements after a really weak championship stage and with that mentality they can’t compete with the new Champions. It should be a really one sided game and I think that Young Boys will take of this term in a high-note, scoring lots of goals. Last season they were the highest-scoring team in the Super League but their defence wasn’t always on point. They lead the direct confrontations against Grasshoppers and they should extend their win streak in this game.
