Rosenborg – Valur is the second game from the Uefa Champions League Qualification, after a really closed and tight match in the first leg where the team from Iceland managed to win surprisingly with 1-0. The game will start at 19:45 and it will take place on Lerkendal Stadion in Trondheim, Norway.

Rosenborg were favorites in the first game to take a big advantage for the qualification into the next round of the Uefa Champions League qualification stage but failed surprisingly. A goal in the 86th minute brought the defeat for them, in a game that they pretty much controlled. I think they will turn around that result and qualify into the next stage where they will have to face Celtic, a much harder opponent to defeat. They are in a good form in the Eliteserien as well which also points to a home win in this game. They have one of the strongest defence in the Championship along with they first placed Brann, both conceding only 11 goals in 16 games. Rosenborg need to take advantage of the chances that they will have and everything will be alright for them.
Valur made a huge surprise in the first leg beating the favorites from Rosenborg with 1-0. They were dominated really but they were cool headed and with a late goal managed to take advantage in this match-up. They have a winning streak of 7 games in their Championship and they are tied on the 2nd place with the leaders from Stjarnan. It’s obvious that the Pepsideild isn’t a really strong Championship but they are doing really good at the moment. Unfortunately for them they are out from the Cup right before the semi-finals. That was the last defeat and they will surely come into this game with a high morale and defend all the way and hope that it will end in a goalless draw.

Rosenborg – Valur: Prediction
It’s obvious that everything points for a home win, but the question is, can Rosenborg qualify after the first 90th minutes? Valur will do everything to defend their advantage gained in the first leg and hope that Rosenborg are having a bad day. They are also having a great defence as they conceded 11 goals just like their opponents this term but in a weaker Championship. In my opinion Rosenborg have the quality to score at least two goals this game and think ahead for the next important game that will be against Celtic. My predictions for this one are below.
Prediction: Rosenborg to lead First Half/ Full time, 1/1, Odds: 1.60
Stake: 10 units
Secondary Prediction: Rosenborg over 2.5 goals, Odds: 2.00
Stake: 7 units
