Marseille have done a really good job this season and they played a fabulous football and now they can really prove themselves almost at home. They done a good job in Ligue 1 being on the 4th position with 1 point behind Lyon and 3 points behind Monaco. They can still battle their way to the Champions League group stage but it will be a hard thing to achieve after a disappointing draw against Guingamp last time out. Rudi Garcia’s men led in the first half with 2-1 and it looked like the are dominating the game but things turned south. Mandanda was eliminated and with 2 goals from the hosts it ended in a 3-3 draw and they lost their chances to get in front of their rivals. This could be their biggest win after a long time and they will do anything to achieve it in any way.
Marseille: Pele – Amavi – Gustavo – Rami – Sarr – Sanson – Lopez – Ocampos – Payet – Thauvin – Germain
Atletico Madrid they entered into this season as one of the favorites to win the Uefa Champions League but they had a really tough group and didn’t managed to qualify further in the competition. They lost their qualification spot against Chelsea and Roma, Roma being one of the semi-finalist of this year knocking out Atletico’s big rival, Barcelona. Maybe this was the best way to do as they now are in the final of the Europa League and they are also the big favorites to win the competition. In LaLiga they were the only true contenders for the title along Barcelona but in the end, Messi & CO were the ones to beat them with 1-0 and win eventually the title. This is their biggest game as well, and it’s always an extraordinary thing to win an European championship. Diego Simeone’s team are one of the best defending teams in the world and this factor should won them this game as well.
Atletico Madrid: Oblak – Luis – Godin – Savic – Juanfran – Koke – Niguez – Gabi – Correa – Griezmann – Costa
Diegos Simeone Press Conference: It’ll be a beautiful final.

Marseille – Atletico Madrid: Prediction
These two teams met twice in the group stages in 2008 in the Uefa Champions League competition where Atletico won the first game with 2-1 and the second leg saw a goalless game. An Europa League final is always a highlight and an existing game to watch, whoever is playing but if it’s your favorite team you’re heart will pump as fast as it can. Atletico Madrid, as I mentioned above, are the big favorites to take this trophy home after they have some bad memories with European competition finals. An away win is clearly the way to go in this game, and with Griezmann probably playing his last game for the team from Madrid he will do anything to score and say goodbye to his team in a big way.
