Maribor – Partizani will bring us the second game from the Europa League qualifications with Maribor in a winning position after a decent win in the first leg away from home against a team that put up a really good fight. The game will start 20:15 and it will take place on Ljudski vrt in Maribor, Slovenia.

Maribor are coming into this game with high morale and really determinated to win again. They were in the control of the first game in the entire time and it was a really big surprise that they only scored once. Now they are on 11 game unbeaten run, and unfortunately for them their last lost was against the Slovenian Champions from Ljubljana, a lost game that cost them the championship. Now they need to make a good run and qualify into the group stages of the Europa League. They have a big chance to achieve that, as they qualified last year into the Champions League group stages where they placed 4th in a group with Liverpool, Sevilla and Spartak Moscow.
Partizani started this road with a big break and that could cost them the qualification. Last time out when they played it was in May and the lack of competitive game could be a really big factor in their elimination. They have a really strong opponent as well which we could tell from the first game. The interesting part is that the Albanian team scored more goals away from home and that could be the case in this game as well. They need to attack to have a chance to qualify and I think they will be taxed for that by Maribor.

Maribor – Partizani: Prediction
The Slovenian team have the first chance for the qualification and it’s no doubt that they will achieve it. I really hope that this one won’t be like the game that we saw in the first leg. It shouldn’t be because Partizani will need to open up to attack and leave some open spaces for their opponents. In their preparation stage, Maribor destroyed almost every team that they encountered scoring at least 2 goals. Now they should do the same because Partizani isn’t a strong team with big expectations and Maribor have the mentality of a big team.
